For over three decades, St. John Associates (SJA) has extended love to impactful organizations in the Bloomington community and beyond through charitable giving. The tradition, initiated by SJA Founder Ann St. John, reflects a deep commitment to fostering a culture of giving and community engagement and has provided a total of over $2 million in donations to over 90 organizations.
As a dedicated business owner and active member of the Bloomington community, Ann infused her philanthropic passion into the company’s ethos. Honoring her legacy, the current Owner and CEO of SJA, Alex St. John, and the entire team are once again embracing the spirit of love by making impactful contributions to employee selected organizations. Every year, each staff member nominates a non-profit organization, presenting its purpose and their personal connection to the cause. This collaborative effort ensures a diverse range of causes is supported, aligning with the varied interests and values of the SJA team.
This year’s selection process resulted in a diverse array of organizations being chosen, with a focus on critical areas such as healthcare access, food security, emergency housing, children’s welfare, animal rights, environmental conservation, and more.
“Not only do we have the privilege of supporting the remarkable work of select non-profits, but we also actively engage our employees, local and remote, in the process,” St. John said. “We take pride in upholding this cherished company tradition, which has been a part of our identity since our founding in 1991.”
The list of non-profits benefitting this year from the SJA annual day of giving include:
Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society
City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Black Males
Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County
Monroe County Humane Association
Owen County Community Foundation
Vicksburg Community School Foundation
