Placement Stories: Locating a Job for a Physician with an Urgent Need

In an uncommon situation, I once had a physician reach out to me for help after leaving their position. In addition to this challenge, they hadn’t yet completed all of their certifications and had a spouse who also would be moving with them.

I immediately began contacting employers over the phone so I could accurately describe the delicate situation, rather than trying to convey the details over email.  A significant factor in the success of the process was how flexible and prompt the physician was in our communication. They were always available to discuss their options in detail and were prompt to follow up with me on potential leads. They were also an absolute pleasure to work with and expressed their gratitude for our help in sourcing employers that fit their lifestyle and professional goals.

With the support of my colleagues, we were able to quickly locate the perfect opportunity and get them moved to the next chapter of their career. Making this kind of a difference in someone’s life who urgently needed my resources and network is a huge reason why I love my job as an Orthopedic Recruiter. If I could offer one piece of advice, other than using our services, it would be to never leave your current position without having another lined up; however, if you find yourself in that situation, our team is ready and happy to help step up to the challenge to guide you to your next endeavor.
