According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, the Primary Care physician shortage will range from 14,900 to 35,600 by 2025. To address the shortage in the heavily impacted rural landscape, the Health Resources and Services Administration will offer as much as $75,000 in medical education debt forgiveness to those who commit to these areas for two years. Furthermore, providers who are fluent in Spanish are eligible to receive another $5,000 in relief through the program.
