Mid-Southern City Seeking Neurohospitalist

Neurologist needed with capabilities in acute stroke care. Block schedule 7/on 7/off hospitalist position. EEG and NCV/EMG interpretation skills are a bonus but not required. 

The Practice:

• 7 Days on/ 7 Days off hospitalist position
• Physician must be comfortable with acute stroke care including tPA administration and CT/CTA/CTP interpretation
• EEG and NCV/EMG interpretation is a bonus but not required
• Schedule split with a partner who can trade shifts as needed
• 24 hour call, teleneurology available at night
• ER Emergent consults and inpatient consults
• Between 4-6 new consults per day on average
• Inpatient consultation service normally follows between 10-15 patients on average
• Regional referral center with a dedicated transfer center
• Certified Primary Stroke Center
• Hospital has Internal Medicine Hospitalist System
• Great compensation and benefits package
